It’s funny, my online selling experience goes all the way back to the 90’s (okay, 1999) with eBay, but I’m just now getting onto Etsy. This was before the market was flooded with cheap imports, a time when antiques actually sold for “antique store” prices, and customers were all around polite. As time went on – and thousands of packages later – it became harder and harder to make a profit since the market pretty much hit a standstill. I backed away to pursue other interests and it wasn’t until recently that I decided to start selling on Etsy.
I feel like I’m late to the game but it’s better late than never, right?
The name of our store is Little Emerald Thumb and we specialize in lithops, lithops seeds, and other random succulents. Vic named the shop and I think it’s perfect!! As a matter of fact, we made our 10th sale today and I couldn’t be more excited. It doesn’t sound like much but there are over 76,000 succulent listings so I’d say that’s pretty good for a newbie without much feedback.
Oh, and please be sure to “favorite” our shop! Not only does it help us tremendously, in the next few days we will be adding more seeds, succulent soil, pottery, and handmade farmhouse decor that you won’t want to miss!
So yeah, I guess that’s it!
